So late last year I bought a Toshiba RT-S931 from an ebay seller who it has been decided is one to avoid. It came terribly packed but intact and lucky to survive the journey across Australia.
Creative photography in his listing had hidden the damage on the top where someone had engraved it and then attempted to hack the engraving off. It was not only missing the tape door but the screw posts which hold down the hinge were cut out for a reason unbeknownst to us.
I spoke to Warren about it, he knows and loves this particular model of radio and he offered to repaint the damage for me. So a few months ago I took a trip down to Tasmania taking the tosh as my carry on. I met Warren for the first time and dropped it off with him. I have only before and after shots as the magic happened in a different state from me.
