Solution to this riddle; buy one of each just to be certain of getting the right box. 
Could Toshiba have named two sets the same? Bush did this in the 1950s when they made two entirely different radios and named both VHF 90.
One was a single band (VHF/FM only) set with a large, circular dial that was famous for spontaneous combustion if the dial lamp were too large, the other was a two band (VHF/FM and MW) radio in a much less interesting cabinet and with a conventional linear scale.
You should see the number of arguments the existence of two sets with the same name has started on the vintage wireless forum!
