It's been a while since I've been hunting in the wild so naturally. But today I spotted this Sound 3030D while being out for a different purpose.
It was pretty dirty but after a good cleanup it's now a looker again
This is kind of an TRK-9140 AKA but not exactly ;-)

A few scratches on top, Power switch is missing. Everything works fine, only the playing tape doesn't produce any sound.
Sound is pretty good! 12.5W per channel go to show.

Hey zippy, let me know if you need parts.
Just wrecking my 3030!

First i wanted to keep it, but then i found the middle part of a HITACHI.
So i only need the speakers of it ;-)

Not bad at all. :-) See if you can fix that other VU
Actually they both work! But I didn't want to turn the volume all the way up just to make the VUs bounce nicely so I switched to battery/tuning mode.
Radio reception was pretty poor that moment that's why the second VU doesn't show anything

Thanks :-) But it looks like your 3030 has lost the power switch as well? Do you think the OSC switch would do the job, too? If so, I'd be pretty thankful for it
It may also be that I could use some parts of the cassette mechanism, I need to check the inside.

I will take it out of the storage next week, open it, then we will see more.
You can have every part you need, no problem.
