Thrift store treasures

I dropped by a few extra thrift stores this week and managed a few nice little finds, thought I'd share them with Boomboxery.

Panasonic F5 - Soft Touch tape deck and fully functional
Sony WM-2 Walkman with holster and original headphones - works but needs belts badly and foam for the headphones
Denon HD-8 90 tape - Still sealed
Sony Metal Master90 tape- Still sealed

Total cost for all items was only $9.

Thanks Ira, I almost walked by it since they had on a low shelf behind some computer keyboards like someone was trying to hide it. I ducked down to look at the shelves and just saw the corner of the handle, as soon as I pulled it out I knew it was going home with me.

Nice Panasonic-looks like it has a tape counter.

Good eye babya, the tape counter is in kind of an odd place away from the tape but it does have it.

Vladi that Sony tape is really cool, it's has a ceramic composite shell and guide block.

Nice scores, Don! The tapes are the hit with me! A sealed Sony Metal Master at the thrift store?! That's incredible!

Thanks bobby I was a little surprised to see the Sony Metal Master on the shelf, I had to do a double take. The Denon was sitting right behind it which made it really sweet, I grabbed them quick.

Nice finds MB.
I also had similar luck finding some metal tapes at the G-dub last week,
but I'm an idiot.
I had an in-store credit but left it at home, I figured I'd be back with the credit later on. Went back, and they were GONE.
So now I carry it in my wallet just in case.
