I feel like the Karate Kid who learned from Roman, the godfather of fleamarkets

Anyway, sunday there was a big local flea so I decided to give it a try. Not many people were there to buy and sell but it was the opportunity to score something good.
Then i had the first blast: A Deja-Vu!

Yup, it is the same model i already sold to radiodayz a while ago. But this time both tape decks are working and the switches do not have any issues. it is mint. And it sounds just as good as the last one! And yes, this was the same flea where I got the other one   .

But wait...there was something looking out of a cardboard box in the back of the stand on the fleamarket...it was this:

A nice little Grundig that does not sound bad at all. It has incredible features: a 3-band equealizer, even a line in and line out! AND something I have never seen on a analog tuner before:

It works with 4 mini analog tuners in the back that you can adjust surprisingly good. :-) .

And then in the last row of stands I saw something looking at me in the back of a stand:

It is a 3 way Fisher boombox! And it still sounds awesome with its 5 band equealizer and surround switch. It really booms well! Although the tape decks are dead, it still has a line in and a good working radio  . And it was something wide and flat-topped I needed for my little wall

All together: 20 Euros. Equals Epic Win!

Thanks to Roman, my teacher who told me what to look for and where to look out  ! :ninja: :super:

Oh, I also saw the big Grundig world reciever thing without a tape deck but amazingly big..you know..with the two handles on the side...but the guy wanted 280 Euros for it. I turned away and said Thank You

Heeeey, congrats max!

Yeah, the GRUNDIG is nice, with mechanical station presets

And big score on the FISHER.
You got the better version.
I have the one with analog tuner.

If you want a scan of the paperwork (got to mine), let me know. ;-)

Wow, Max! That Grundig is fascinating. That is definitely one I have never seen, nor have I seen analog presets on a boombox. Way cool! :afro:

I love the Grundig too because it is fully working :-D
And it sounds great for its size

The Fisher blows out some awesum bass and it sounds really good! :-)
Roman, if you could give me the paperwork, it would be great. The presets in the digital tuner do not stay there and if you turn it on they are gone again :-/ . Same issue with the clock...
But it is not bad...I need new belts for it though :-)
Mine was also in the bright sun, Roman. I am glad I saved it :-)

The Telefunken kept a nasty surprise inside: leaking batteries..UGH...luckily the contacts of the battery compartment were not affected by it and I got it clean and working again  .

There must be a little backup-battery in the compartment. :hmmm:
Implant a new one and check again. ;-)

Great scores, Max! :agree:

yeah, it was quite a funny coincidence finding the same model on the same fleamarket again. This time it had two working tape decks BUT the battery compartment was disgusting where yours was never used...well, I am sure you can fix yours if you want to. or just hook a walkman up with the line in :-) .
It is a really nice little boombox I am also enjoying outdoors now...it's just that I don't like non-working tape decks because I use them quite often. And I could not open the Telefunken that is yours now because it had one really deep hole for one screw and my screwdriver was too short

I've got a slightly newer version of that Fisher from the first post....has a few cosmetic differences with the speaker grills and adds a program locator to the playback deck alongside the auto-reverse. Got mine years ago at a junk shop FOR FREE...."I can't get any sound out of it I was just gonna toss it. Take it if you want!" :w00t: :w00t: So I walk out with it, give it a quick once-over and lo and behold, the speaker wires aren't connected!! :dunce:
As you might have guessed, she fired right up! After new belts and a few drops of solder here and there, she's still booming some 6-7 years after that day. It is currently residing at a friend's house out of town for the time being, and he loves the thing! As well he should! I came across the analog tuner version (probably like Vienna Sound's) at the Goodwill a couple months ago...I passed, and it was gone a few days later so I'm sure someone deserving is rocking out to it right now! :-)
