i wonder if he told them they were unable to test the tape deck too. lol
i mean its pretty creative ad for sure but i hate it when people say we are unable to test the tape deck.
why not just say the tape deck does not work.
at least that way if it does its a bonus.

The U.S. Air Force wanted to buy my Aiwa CS-880. They said the blue really went well with their uniforms.

I told 'em to fly away.

But, hey...

That just increased the value of the CS-880 by at least $500 - right? :-D

Right. And the CIA wants my microwave that only works on "defrost." And I thought I was going to have to throw it away. Silly me!

To my knowledge there is only one boombox at the Smithsonian. The mighty Sharp HK 9000 owned by Fab 5 Freddy.
And I happen to have one, price went up $1000

i'm pretty sure the smithsonian can afford to buy an m70 if they wanted one, they don't need craigslist . i'm suprised they didnt claim it was the boombox teddy rosevelt listend to when he rode up san juan hill.

I Am Legend
at the expense of a few members thinking this plan (and me) are off-the-wall :-)
here is the proposed fatdog/smithsonian display -

1 .we place him in a 1 1/2" thick plexiglass case -- so nobody steals him
2. we all - and his immediate family --get the discounted annual visitors pass-
3. we drill several holes in his enclosure -so he gets ventilation and comfort
4. he gets to bring his clairtone -- but its headphones ONLY --so none of the
distinguished guests are disturbed by that obnoxious POS !!! :-D :-P
5. and we set him up with his computers/phones/printers --- and his entire graphics
business --

the THEME of the 'fatdog display'
will be to demonstrate an actual american entrepreneur at work
:-)
---------------------------------------
and i predict it will be 15 times more popular than
all the other repetitive- motionless exhibits they have there :hmmm:  :choco:
