Question...the ear piece includes (what looks like) a 1/8 standard headphone jack. The adapter included doesn't look like a 1/4 adapter. What is that or are my eyes getting worse?

A really nice one. Reminds me of my grandma, she was kind of attracted to "toys" like that. (But she also had some real Boomboxes which today I miss.)

Brutus the silver plug is an erase plug that cuts off the internal microphone so you can erase a tape! Pretty crude but there it is!
From the U.S. - I think old bankrupt stock? Ebay was where I found it & I think they also have other models for sale too!
