I had the same strap it was for some camera bag we bought. I cut it apart and threw it away because it was CRAP. Plastic hardware, no thanks

I have a strap with plastic ends, but I never used it on a radio, I was afraid they would stretch and break.

I guess I never paid much attention to radios with strap clips, were they really that abundant?
