Walter Cronkite the most trusted man in america as he was affectionaly known ,Former cbs news anchorman died tonite,after a lengthy illness. Geez They are just dropping like flies lately...
Rip Walter... A great journalist who will be missed. :sad: :sad:

Very sad................ he covered many stories... such as when JFK was shot and he almost lost it!! :sad:

well he had a good run and i do find it ironic he passed aways on the fortieth aniversary of what i believe was his favorite event he covered.
despite being there during the worst of times he was also there at the best too.
they dont make them like that anymore.

Someone already said this but I was just thinking to myself too.... this year, folks just seem to be dropping like flies... Not just in the news... people in my personal life too. Makes me wonder, who's next.

Sad news again, Walter touched most of our lives for a very long time unless your only in your teens or twenties. :sad:

This is sad-I remember him covering the Apollo missions in the 60's!! great,great news anchorman-the best!!
He will be so missed-I remember how bummed I was when he stepped down from his job.
