Most of you know Sony doesn't F around....they overbuild everything. The CFS-100 mini hifi system in no exception. Here is Agent Orange's pic from his Stereo2Go thread:

It only has 4-inch full-range speakers, but each of them weighs 5.4 lbs! They weigh as much as Hitachi TRK-9150 speakers, which are much bigger.
First, you need to remove the 6 screws on the back
A ton of fiber-fill inside! Not cheap yellow foam, which doesn't work as well.
But wait, there's 6 more screws inside, holding the front panel on!
Good luck trying to take off the grill for painting....You can't, without cutting it!!!
You've still got 4 more screws to go, to remove the speaker:
Man, I still can't figure out what these cases are made of. White powder comes out of the screw holes, like plastic, but they're a lot heavier than plastic. Could it be some kind of ceramic blend??
