I bought my M-70 surprisingly cheapy off .au ebay last year. It was filthy but was all working,.. apart from the radio.
Upon further inspection it was found the polyvaricon on the board was the problem, which had seen better days, as you can see below:
Months went by, but I was patient and new one day I'd be able to make her whole again.
Thanks to SINISTER and MasterBlaster84 I've now completed my M-70 with a shiny new tuner
board and today I got bear witness to a wonderful sight... her glowing FM Stereo LED.
She now tunes in stations with ease and clarity and my elation of having this truly awesome specimen
of boomboxery can barely be contained.
A truly beautiful and classic radio.
My deepest thanks to Don and Dave for making one of my favourite ghettoblasters whole again.
