Is that boombox supposed to be gold colored? It's hard to tell in those pics :hmmm:

...it is a gold/champagne color with gold faceplate and speaker rings. I chose amber lights for the tuner because it has a black background with brown accents and I chose white lights for the vu meters because of the silver background. I love the contrast in the color of lights and think it goes well with the color of the boombox.

The color was risky since we didn't know what it would look like. So Melly took the big risk and deserves the big rewards. The amber doesn't appear to be as bright to the human eye as blues, greens and reds (which the eye is more sensitive to). But it's far brighter than the original lamps and serves it's purpose. I mean who turns on lights at the outdoor basketball court, right? So for what it's designed for, it absolutely performs it's purpose flawlessly.
