I bought this off mellymelsr about a year ago (maybe more) and finally got around to working on her. Deck is now fixed 
(bad zener diode in the 12 volt regulator circuit for you geeks out there. 
) So I decided to add to melly's blue paint job mod by installing some LED lights. One for the tuner and 2 for the VU's. The special thing I want to point out is the light switch is original however with this little board I built, the lights stay on when you press the button and they go off when you press it again. Which is how I think all boomer dial lights should work 
It's a pretty simple circuit for you geeks out there (JK flip flop) is the main IC. Who would ever think turning the lights on and off would be so much fun.
