That's an impressive EQ also... Looks like it's been off the market since the mid/late 80's, but I wouldn't doubt if they still make those EQ/boosters. You can't beat that retro look.

That rounded blue thing, is that the battery? If so, what kind of battery is that?

yes that blue thing is the battery mono . it's an 18 volt ryobi i have i think 7or 8 of the batts and 3 chargers including a 15 minute rapid charger, the eq is vintage ,its made by coustic who's parent company is mtx other wise known as the mitex coperation makers of kick ass car /home audio,one of the highest quality eq/boosters i have ever seen .

Yeah, it reminds me of a portable power tool battery... If so, that's pretty ingenious! How long does it last?

I remember Coustic from back in the days when Crutchfield used to sell their stuff and they used to go under a longer name that I can't remember right now.

these are 18 volt power tool batts ,they work great never had any problems using them ,the evil vz can go hard and loud for about 2 hours on one of these batteries but were talking about 260 watts of power out put ,longer with moderate volume.
