Well, today I finally received my Sharp GF-9000 - in excellent condition and fully working - yeah!
This is the last boombox for me - I will not be getting any more (well, not this year anyway)

Ya, it looks much better in person - I took about 20 pictures, but none of them show how beautiful this box really is. And it looks like it hasn't been used at all - all new and shiny!
As far as sound - I played a tape, and it sounds good (just a regular 20 years old tape - not chrome or metal). But the FM stereo is twice as loud as tape. Not much bass - I turned it all the way up, and it's sufficient - but it's the only box of all I have where I had to turn the bass all the way up for it to be sufficient. Highs are really good though - better than my GF-777. Overall, it sounds really good - I was pleasantly surprised - given some not very positive comments. It's also a lot louder than I expected - it was too loud at half volume - I had to turn it down.
Overall, highly recommended!

Ira, 7200 and BigBen sound better. I would say it sounds like GF-777 with a lot less bass and a lot more highs - if that makes any sense

The front is silver - like M70. The back is light gray. Not like Lexus - more like BMW

HOT 9000 Vladi!! Really perfect specimen.

I think the sound on them is much better when being carried around than in front of you indoors.
The range is tailor made for excellent sound reproduction outside.
