boxes in heavy use right now.

eatons viking top left corner
sony fh-7 second shelf
above fire place m9998k still one of the faves
below the m9998k is the jvc m80 still like this one a lot. its not a beast for sound but it is a good radio for sure
top right side pioneer sk-95 i think this is still my favorite of the one pieces for sound. tape deck is the best sounding on piece deck i have. not super bassy but it is excellent sounding and very nice.
on the table the sweet m70 i just scored .
on top of the sony ball bearing panel trinitron is the mint sears version of the m9996. a amazingly nice sounding boombox.
besides the tv is the sony c7 mint.

the sony fh7 sk-95 m9996 and c7 are all in mind blowing just out of the box shape.
i mean i have been pretty lucky with finding unused well preserved boomboxes.
these are my current fave faces right now.

oh and that reciever is the big realistic sta-2000
the speakers on the mantel are just klipsch 1.5s but they sound beautiful.

lets see.
hmmm that would be a total out of pocket for everything of three hundred bucks i believe.

thanks man. i love those online catalogs. mines the older version of that model without the dolby and slightly more power i believe mine is 80wpc. these units were made by foster electronics for ratshack. foster later went on to be named fostex.
when i first got the old beast i spent hours looking through those catalogs.
strange beacause it took me back to the days of oogling them back in the day.

theres mine http://www.radioshackcatalogs.com/catalogs/1978/

yeah that is a mystery to me what fm dolby would do. i mean i guess it is supposed to make things sound less noisy but with a good reciever there shouldnt be too much noise in the first place.
i used to have the realistic hooked up to a big pair of advents and i also tried a big pair of warfendales as well but....
it was just way way way to loud for this room.
i mean i am only about ten feet aways from them.
the realistic is pretty much tied with my nice sansui 5000x receiver for my favorite reciever.
the realistic has slightly more power but the sansui does sound nicer.

yes i will.
i will take some pictures of both of them.
i am about 99 percent certain that viking box has some toshiba connection based on some of the toshiba boxes i have seen.
there is similarities in the way the display is and other things.
the sears aka box is pretty much brand spanking new but i must get some pics of it up sometime in not to long.
the green dial light on that box is super cool.

Bill, it's nice to see a "family" picture of your boxes. That's a really nice collection and considering the total amount paid for them, you are one lucky dude!!

Keep it up!!
