Well, that was a fast 1000 post's.....it doesn't even seem like it took that long, but here we are!
Below are some recent pictures from with the band getting together at our studio, drinking beer and blasting the TRC-975. As you can see in the pictures, it was doing it's job very well. The cool part about that night is, I had the 975 running on rechargeable batteries and from 3 pm till 7 pm I was running HOT on the volume knob filling the warehouse / studio space with music. After that, I split over to another friends place to...you guessed it....drink more beer. I didn't want to leave my radio in the car, so I brought it in with me.
As I walked through the door the people at the party were asking me, "Where did you get that?", "What is it, 1985?" and my favorite comment..."What's with the Compton Companion?" (I'd never heard that one before!)
Oh, they thought it was funny as hell until a friend broke out her computer and wanted to show some video's of her band on You Tube. With in 2 seconds I had a cable hooked up and offered it to her to plug in and she was thrilled to have her bands music playing LOUD and CLEAR for everyone at the party to hear. We then plugged someones mp3 player into it and it blasted another 4 hours easily. I was very surprised on how well the 975 sipped on those rechargeable batteries.
Well, I want to thank everyone on this site for making collecting not only fun, but possible in the first place! I'm hoping 2011 will bring more radios and more exciting threads to read!
PEACE!
Me with the 975 and my Evil Skull Microphone stand with light up eye balls!
