Seen this PHILIPS D8434 on german ebay.
BIN including shipping (but only in germany) for 10euros.
Offered as "wreck"

Thanks to max, he won it for me and brought it to the vienna springtime meeting!

And the lovely thing: It´s fully working.
Only the tapedoor needs a little work next time,but this is no big problem.

And this thing is quite big
First tast is cheap, but this one is loaded with features

clear tapedoors are always nice

and it´s a SPATIAL STEREO
also treble and bass control

double coned speakers

double scale and LED meter, 4 wavebands

tape is servo controlled!

backside with some connections

really love it
Also there are now some memories on it from the meeting

will be now my favourite outdoor box.
Because it´s big, but not too heavy and good sounding

And don´t mix it up with this one!

It´s very poor quality....

Good question!
I think with all sorts of them, including the MOVING SOUNDs, aka HORNYPHON,....
about 50 boxes...

Yeah, especially since I gave you the idea how to "fix" your JVC
(Or take both? I really think on a plane the two of them as hand-baggage should be no problem..or put one ina suitcase with lots of towels around it )
