The 3 B's - Big Black Boxes

Here's my recent purchase of the famous Lasonic 931 and Helix 4636. Did a full restoration on both boxes and i would have to say that the Helix was much easy to fix and clean. First time using "Mother's Back to Black" car wax, works awesome on black boxes. What a difference in quality between these 2 Taiwan made boxes compared to Japanese boxes. Between the two, really love the Lasonic but cant stop looking at the Helix.

Lasonics..I have many boxes now, and no lasonics. I have not been able to compare one (live) to a sony or a panasonic, so I have just ignored the brand completely.

call me strange but the Lasonics is given me a "woody" more than the other
mite be the horrorzoncular chrome bars on the speakers.......looks tuff as

Much thanks for the comments peoples, put a few days of hard work into these boxes and had to show everyone on here since the wife is not much help. But at the end i was amazed how they both turned out especially when applying the Back to Black wax. It sure does look like it came fresh out the box!

As for your cleaning.... just...TOP NOTCH! That Helix looks fantastic....You don't get to see those as much as you see the 931.

And of course the 931 is the Bad A$$ dream box of so many BBX fans. Yours looks brand new.

Yea, try the Back to Black by Mothers, stuff will turn your faded black box to shiny new. Plus it will be easier to knock dust right off your boxes and also spray some new car scent so that it will be super minty fresh!
