Sorry for opening thi thread just for question... Any of you owners of Telefunken Hi-Fi studio? What is sound like? Quality, any cons or pros? Thanks!

Best sounding 80's portable I've ever heard. Warm bass even at low volume, and extremely detailed treble. But that's on AC power. On batteries the power takes a huge hit.

They also tend to have more technical problems than the Japanese stuff. Power failures, tweeters going out, chassis coming loose, VUs stop working right, etc.

i never use to rate stuff like this before. but i do now.anything what was made in germany - austria - finland from 60s to 70s is well made gear..i have a Dynatron stereo with a garrard sp 25 mk2 turntable with a shure m75 cartridge. the amp was made in austria and the sound quality is awesome. crystal clear playing albums on it. it sounds better then my aiwa music centre's..so i would give that Telefunken a go

also i remember my mum having this german made rema radiogram in the 60s. and this had a great sound coming out of it..it had oval shaped celestion speakers in it..
