Well fellow Boomer Enthusiasts , I finally got the desire of my heart!!!
It is everything I expected and more so I am very happy
Here are some photos after a thorough cleaning, grille painting and LED upgrade.
Mostly she's all working but belts are tired and need replaced and gotta figure out why she wont
operate on batteries. Other than that all is well with it, and IT SLAMS!!!!
Anyone know how to get the main chassis out please advise as I cant see how to do it,
I want to clean and lube the sliders and clean the dust bunnies out of the tuner area.
Any help will Be much appreciated!!
Enjoy the Pics :breakdance:

Congarulations!

The answer to your chassis question is really really sad actually
They put a total of THREE screws in there to hold it in there    .

One is located in the middle right under the tuner window I believe and the other two are on the sides under the cassette decks.
Open the doors and you can take it rihgt out  .

But be extra careful putting it back in...those sliders can SO EASILY break off  . And the jacks in the front for mics and headphones are a $%&/ to align properly.
Oh and be careful to remember the little plug that goes on the center LEDs...if it is put on the wrong way, it somehow reverses all LEDs or so...had to open mine again because it acted up...

Good luck!

That's great news!!

It's a very loud-ass box but the bass from a Lasonic is deeper in comparison! Still, it's THE COOLEST looking box ever made!!

Congratulations!

You'll have to peal the clear plastic window off the tuner section to clean it out. Well, that's the way I did it.

Thanks Mono,
Yes a little shy in the 60 hz .
When I use eq app with my iPod it helps boost the bass real good.
And i will also agree that it is the koolest looking box ever built,
Like the C-100 it's loud even when it's off.

Frank 1st thing I would check is the switch at the plug inlet. May be rusty or very dirty :hmmm: try deoxit and work switch

Thanks Bill,
I just closed it up.
One of the springs in the battery box needed to be re sprung.
Of course it had to be the side that's tucked inside.
Problem solved.
