Well this kinda gives it away on my next box coming and I've wanted one of these for a while but I'm on another mission guys/gals to save an icon.
However, I am in need of a few parts to purchase.

I'm looking for the plastic front overlay for Tape B. (Pictured).Super-Jumbo-J1-Boombox-Deck-B-door.jpg
If the door itself is broken that's no biggie as I only need the plexiglass front graphics. Maybe someone has this overlay on file to print and glue on? :-)

Stop/Eject button key for Tape B. if anyone has this key that would be great. - If not I may slide the pause button over on the internal track to work in that spot if possible.

I'm not sure this thing will even make a pleasing sound but at least it'll look good in my collection and complete with these parts :-)
I appreciate any considerations and/or part offers. Later, we'll see if this thing needs any slider repairs :-/ - Hope not

If there are other models that share the same parts I need then feel free to chime in as well.

Thank you all.

Ryan unfortunately I don't think any other model Boombox except the aka's of this model have those parts now you might be able to take a generic cassette door plastic piece and lay it into the cassette door you have and maybe paint new graphics on it if worse came to worse I don't know if you ever seen one of these before but they're slightly bigger than a conion in every way it's a badass boom box. Luckily the slider boards on these are easy to clean. These can pop out some mother f****** sound now trust me. Yeah these boxes are like one size below the Master blaster.

Thanks Floyd. I am so stoked to finally be able to obtain one of these. Even if it isn't perfect. I'm going to be proud of it 8-) My plan is to tear it completely apart and do a detail clean and repair. Hoping I can bring the cassette decks back to life. Might even watch - Do the right thing - while cleaning it :-)

I know how you feel that's the way I felt when I had mine almost 10 years ago you know these things have some of the biggest Chrome caps on the speakers you'll ever see the only other two that are in that league are the GF 777 and the Master blaster. also have huge magnets on the woofers about twice the size of those on the conion I've even seen the magnets fall off the speakers and the speakers separate from the front cabinet during shipping because of the weight of the magnets.

Congrats!!! J1 is an awesome box with a sound as big as its dimensions.
I owned one years back as well and I loved it to bits!!!
As Floyd has mentioned they are pretty easy to take apart and repair.
Best of luck finding the parts you need to make it complete!!! I suggest keeping an eye
on the inter-webs for them.

These are easy boxes to work on which I like because I'm getting lazier as I get older.

I agree Floyd. I had this thing tore down completely. Ended up fixing all the broken bits and cold solder joints inside. Then I detail cleaned and put back together all in in one day! I can't say the same is true for the C100F. I think once you tackle the C100F, all other boomboxes (all the sudden) become easier to work on 8-)

I can't wait to show this thing but I am going to practice some patience and try and wait until I get all the parts needed.

She's 100% functional at this point. The tape decks are not the same quality as the Conion or M90 but they get the job done :-)

Thanks Radio Raheem.

I ended up snapping a photo of tape A. Then using Microsoft Paint (of all things) I was able to mirror that image and make me a door front. I was able to find a piece of plastic I could cut for the front to make it look better.

Looks good enough for now until I can obtain that door decal.

Congrats man I'm happy for you it's a badass boombox one of the biggest and baddest.

Thanks Floyd. I have managed to get this thing fully working but it does have a faily annoying caveat with the cassette decks. If it likes the tape, it plays crisp, clean, balanced, loud and sounds awesome. However, if it doesn't like your tape...well...hope you like crinkle tape.

In a nutshell, no valued cassettes will be going in this but the tapes I have played that it likes, have been playing in it for days with no issue. It's just picky

I have narrowed it down to the doors themselves. The decks in these seem to be very picky about cassette alignment when being played.
