That is lot of work!

Looks great!

"speaker covers also re chromed. silver Tamiya paint w silver chromate."

How did you do that?

I am interested in it!

It's one I've not met yet either. Sort of a Philips vibe going on but IMHO, it looks somehow better than Philips' Magnavox/Stella/Pye-branded three speaker sets and must be much less common in the wild.

Nice work.

:agree: with all above statements.
I'm curious about the "Re-Bling" process as well... :hmmm:
The painting is fairly a patience and quality to key detail on any box.Which I took a great deal of time and a keen eye.To re chrome parts even metal or plastic.Be willing to want to spend a decent dime... A good plating place such as those that do automotive, hotrod or custom chrome, powedercoat etc.You can find a outlet to do plastic parts. I knew of a local shop in rod and custom plating that did some things in moderation.but again be willing to pay if you want a box as close to factory,or go with parts swapping with members... my plating cost for sliders, dials, etc $77.46+ tax. But my box I paid 300.00 firm.

I have always wondered what it would cost to re-chrome plastic parts. Yes, this is a bit pricey, bit if I had a super rare box with trashed chrome, I could see this being a very good idea OR if I had a radio I just loved and wanted it perfect....this is very reasonable.

Just my opinion but I think that box would look even better if you painted the area around the subwoofer that is now black. Change it to a lighter color to distinguish it from the speaker cone. Maybe just silver like the rest of the box, or maybe even red.

Yeah i was considering that at the time too. it has that classic folded horn look, but yes agree! Brotha. sub need too be seen in more movement. i am taking this in wisdom....
