Yeah that SL3 system looks great. These Technics tangential turntables came in two sizes. I have the Technics SL-3 turntable in use. It's technically nearly identical but only has the size of a 12" record sleeve. That way, it easily fits on a shelf rather than an sideboard. The SL-BL-3 you have is the same but for the wider components.
Technics had a complete series of those mini components (receiver, amp, tape decks, equalizer etc.), all very nice. Some of the turntables have Quartz direct drive and are prgrammable, pretty sought after.

My neighbor across the street has a band room in his garage and he does have a vast array of equipment and speakers . the guy really has no clue how out matched he is . I tried to tell him but he just doesn't get it.Floyd have you met your neighbours yet? You will soon with that monster setup!lol
At the moment I'm using 4 sony apm 22 es . and 2 jvc sp 97 .Hey Floyd, what speakers are tethered to that system? They make all the difference. I do have an SL1200 Mk5 still new in the box somewhere, purchased ~25 years back when my house was all cluttered in shambles. Figured I’d set it up when I moved and had more room. Well I’ve moved since but still have no room, just more clutter lol. Hopefully I’ll put it to use soon or my family will probably send it to goodwill or garage sale it when my path runs out of cobblestones.

@Superduper DO NOT let your family give that SL-1200 to a thrift store! If you never get to set it up and enjoy it, sell it to me!Hey Floyd, what speakers are tethered to that system? I have nothing against Conway twitty mind you I don't listen to that tape anyway it was too nice to throw away and it temporarily fill the hole in the tape rack lol. That's a nice collection of gear, Floyd! I kind of giggled when I saw the Conway Twitty cassette. For some reason, I can't picture you as a Twitty fan. LOL

Bobby, when I'm gone, I'm gone and won't have a care in the world, much less any control of what happens to what they call "junk".@Superduper DO NOT let your family give that SL-1200 to a thrift store! If you never get to set it up and enjoy it, sell it to me!
I found 2 sl 1200 mk 2 turntables in a van at the junk yard and the owner gave them to me for free. I sold them both instantly because I needed the money more than the turntables. That's a nice collection of gear, Floyd! I kind of giggled when I saw the Conway Twitty cassette.
