It took over five weeks to get my new J1 Super Jumbo from Germany but here it is folks. Took me whole day to clean and work out most bugs including new belts and fixing power switch which wouldn't shut unit off. Turned out one leaf was broken and part of plastic v had crack. So I got it fixed and now she powers on and off :drool: One issue I'm trying to fix is alarm sound is very quiet so if anyone has ideas I'm all up for opinions....The sound is pretty amazing and the light show is spectacular :w00t:

Wow looks massive !
Am I right in that the only bigger one-piece is the MasterBlaster?
Light shows is a massive turn-on for sure, and all that chrome can't hurt either :thumbsup: . I love this one, but I don't think I'm getting one, it's just too big to carry around comfortably, and if you can't BLAST it, what's the point of having it :-D .
Reminds me of my ICS-STR 5091 which is also basically empty inside :-P .

makes me want to dig mine out wherever it is :lol: i got no room that's why i play with em' for about a week and put em' away .

Welcome to the J1 club B!! All ya need now is the LED mod and your good to go!! I didn't see the dial light up. Is it working? It lights up on AC power.

That's why I did the upgrade. That bulb is super tired. I used two of them in place of the tired glass bulb. Lit up beautifully!! I found them on eBay with the built in resister. I bought a bunch for upgrades to all my dial lit radios.

I bet the woofers with the inverted surrounds really pound too. Those are 8" cans right? Any idea how many watts the amps put out?(yes at 10% distortion) Any thougts to reinforcing with deadmat & insualtion or are you a purist collector.??? It really is minty clean & fresh looking. Good score man!!!
