I used to see something in the wild about every month, but these days it seems more like twice a year.
It's enough to make me stop checking, except now there is a friend of min finding a few in thrift stores that I frequent.
My rule is, if I'm in the neighborhood stop in, no matter what.
So I drop in to my favorite thrift for the third day in a row not expecting to find anything new, and BANG! there it is.
Good ol' JVC rc-656. complete with Nothing-to-see-here grills.
But what it does have is:
auxillery in and out.
speaker out
microphone in
normal and fine tuning knob
twin aerials
plays normal cr02 and metal tapes
dolby
And an extra large tape window that makes it look like a mini in some pictures
This is a solid heavy box.
Not huge on bass but enough
and the radio gets all the stations.
