OK, so I had plans to get a real cool photo shoot done today outside the house as it's amazingly sunny and nice out today in MInneapolis. Well of course I was too late and no longer had the sunlight the direction I needed for what I had planned. Also I have a terrible cybershot camera so I have to be 50 ft away to get anything in the pics. Mainly when I wanted to get a shot of some bigger boxes in front of car that is also quick big.

Anyways, got some shots of various group shots of the ones that made it outside. One of these days I'll have all the 'in progress' boxes all ready to get in a massive shot but for now this will have to do. So no C100 AKAs as they are in various states of cleanup/repair/etc, and no smaller boxes as they just aren't as fun. I'm thinking that the only way to get all these boxes in 1 shot is to have them all in shelves of some sort. Something about stacking them on top of each other freaks me out when some barely have a scratch on them at all, and can easily slip and get destroyed.

Last shot was me trying to get my boy Phatty next to the box I think best resembles him. At thick boxy powerful beast, the JVC 550. Of course was getting freaked out (wuss) when I'd try to get the box right next to him, hence the 3 ft gap. He looks mean but he's a softy.

Love how different these look even though they are the same. If that makes sense.

Boy the car sure makes the boxes look small even thought they are all huge.

Need a wide angle to really make this better

Great stuff, M40dotcom! Always great to have a prop like a car around when shooting boxes!

Beautiful collection, rocker.

RadioRaheem - not sure if the 'small collection' was sarcastic as they are all bigger boxes or you're saying it's a small number of them. Gonna try to get my others outside for pics soon too. My arms were already sore from running all these from the basement and all over the place. Gotta get shots of the Conion/Helix/Clairtone C100 AKA family as I don't think I've seen all 3 in a shot before. The Tecsonic Super Jumbo and MX900 pair would look cool together. And expanded JVC family with the 838, component JVCs and a silly 770. Other randoms are in various states of belt replacement, deep cleaning, or case repair for that Helix and 777 I've posted about with shipping damage. But... I do have one you that you are looking for, the Sound 4008.

Just keep 1? Dear lord that's a terrible idea to even pretend to consider. Of course right now I'm just loving the red/blue VZ2000. It's one of the newest to the family and it's just off the charts in so many ways. Few top reasons: Makes 95% of other boxes seem light and small, sounds great, can't believe the turntable/electronic technology in it, I'm a bit of a vinyl head, red woofers are straight ill, it's shiny and clean like it's right outta the box, and then of course the Sharp demo record just makes it even better. So for now, I'll go with that one.

Favorite mid size box to take outta the house right now still might be the Lasonic 920, M70 second.
Favorite box to just kick you in the head might of course be a C100 AKA.
