OK, who has done this? :-D

Otherwise known as 'Playing the same music on more than one box at a time'.

If you have, then list:

(1) The number of boxes that were all going at the same time,

(2) Where each box was located,

(3) Makes and models,

(4) The music being played, and type ( i.e. dance / rap / reggae etc )

(5) What the music source is. (e.g. walkman with an FM transmitter plugged in the headphone socket)

.......When synchronising the woofer movements on more than two boxes, it really helps if you have an FM transmitter!

You can place boxes all over the place within range of the transmitter, and all boxes play the same choonz.

Yay!

Done only one time with more boxes

1. ~ 10boxes
2. display shelf
3. most PHILIPS, also the LUXOR, MARS and SILVER
4. 80´s Hitparade
5. source the 931i with transmitter

This would be more interesting with big boxes.
Or with a few KABOOMs !

That's fresh ! ! I have only done this with a couple of radios at one time both tuned to the same F.M station but it was cool ! Great to compare the radios too !

We did this at the 08 sunshine meet.
Conion C-100 , Toshiba WX-1 , JVC M-90 , JVC Kaboom.
Man was it loud.
We went line in and out daisy chaining all together.

In 2009 meet we had 4 Telefunken Studio1s blasting at once.
That was awesome and the bass was plump!!!

and personally I have done this at home with many different boxes mostly for comparisons.

I was asked to provide the music for our local Special Olympics Christmas Dance last year. Since I have no professional equipment, I was forced to create a 'system'. I ran music from my iPod/Laptop and daisy chained (Line In/Line Out) several of my best boomers that were stacked along the gym wall. It was rather impressive to see. My wall of sound received lots of interest and people were thoroughly impressed with the wonderful tunes simultaneously blasting from my Wheely (Bassy), both Fisher PH492s my Rising 20/20, Sharp 919 and a few others. The athletes and fellow coaches just loved it. I would've never been proud to blast the CHICKEN DANCE from my boxes if it weren't for the Cake Walk contest. Coach Adam now has the Clairtone added to his aresnal for next years dance.

Very good peoples!

Some very nice synchronised woofer movements right there, and in some cases, nice representation of the WGM! YAAAAY!

What better way to get the word out, than to synchronise some boxes?

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

For my set up, I had my home Hi-Fi playing CDs ( 5-disc auto-changer ) and an FM transmitter plugged-in there, and for the boxes, I had my GF-777 in the bedroom, GF-767 in the kitchen, and lastly, the VZ-2000 in the front room.

Just three boxes in my synchronisation. :-)

Soon, I will look at all the posts, and see who gets "The most boxes" award for synchronised woofer movements!   :stereo:

Talk about a awesome party music system, you could adjust volume different in each room... just like one of the high falootin homes, but with retro boomers!! :afro:

This weekend made an nice combination.

Played the MEGAMAX disco machine.
But the bass is soooo weak at it. :-/
What to do?

Starting the old phono-furniture (SILVA spectraphonic) at the same frequency.
Wooow,no one of my boomers can reach this old wooden sound.
In combination with the box, perfect!

I though about that, but I've never done this. Prbably when I have the boxes in display I'll hoock all together through line in
to a CD player o computer. Music would be something like Phil Collins (any of his works from 80 to 89)

But I get two boxes "linked" many times using tape, using one as "standard" (playing one tape) and the other under adjust (playing a copy). Copies had been made in a mechanical double deck that uses the same motor for the both decks (the speed between copies MOST be the same)
Pretty nice when you have "copied" the speed adjust from one to another. The sligth variations betwen boxes produce some sort of ECHO ... crazy thing.
