The father of my wife surprised me a few days ago with one gift.
He says that he was led a conversation with a colleague from work, related to my boombox hobbies.
His colleague said it that he will bring and give him for me a radio which is very old and that is stored in the basement for many years - “I do not use it, no one care about that radio, he shall take care of him”. :w00t: :w00t:
The next day, the guy was really brought the radio. :thankyou:
Guess what it is?

The old Universum CTR-2342.
When I see it, I could’t believe in to my eyes. :jawdrop:
Nothing is missing, everithing is on the own place, even antenna seem that is original, and everithing is work olmost perfectly – got some little crack sound from volume slider, but considering how many years has, this is nothing serious.
Notice that FM scale is marked only to 104 Mhz?
Probably because this model is from late 60’s or early 70’s!?

Wow! What a great gift to receive. My guess is that it is definitely circa early '70s. I like how the "Eject" button is labeled "Cassette". :-P

Congratulations! I

Hey toni, nice present!
Like those desktop boomboxes.
I only own one of those, a TELEFUNKEN i think so.

And in the early years the scales runs mostly only till 104Mhz.
Sad, because many new radiostations are between 104 and 108. :'-(
