Hey Ford,it is a Superscope by Marantz.
Superscope was like the equialvant of National to Panasonic.
It is a well built unit for sure.

juan -- i have a marantz crs4000 which looks alot like that --
so does uncle ed --

they sound nice and strong //
heavy compact design --

get one if is real clean and under $100

I would even go further and say get one if it's real clean and under $200. They are quite rare and even rarer when clean - 100% complete. Not too many folks are familiar with this and it's a real sleeper for sure. Might even be the most best kept secret.

Just don't think about re-capping it -- it's got about 95 capacitors. I know the hard way.

i have the marantz crs 4000 and it is a warm sounding and really nice heavy box...this looks even better...

I have one too, thanks to Brother Skippy's encouragement.
Very solidly built unit. The sound's clean and warm like a freshly drawn bath.

Mine needs the deck rebelted (which I think looks very hard), but the radio and line-in are great.

Excellent features on a quality radio.

I agree Ira, I've said that I'm at the end as well and just need a few more but I know full well it won't stop there. My buying has slowed down dramatically but I really doubt it will end, there are to many cool boxes and enough killer deals to keep me from stopping.

How true!!

Paula reminds me often that I "promised" only two more boxes after I got the GF-777. Yeah, that "promise" didn't hold up too well.

I really need to get everything in one spot so I can take inventory. Between the bedroom, the closet, Paula's car trunk, and my parents' house, there's no telling what I have.

Well, you COULD always send that Sansui piece of rubbish you have, you know, the little one, to Alabama. I can say that I know personnally Paula would apreciate it and you that much more.
