Super Rare Lasonics

Greetings fellow Enthusiasts,
The Lasonic TRC930 radio is so rare, I could only find one picture of it. It's on the Lasonic audo Instagram page. It got me thinking. Where are all of the super rare Lasonics out there? Not the 920, or the 951, 931, 935, L30, or even the LPC 82 or 85. There's more. They apparently kept on experimenting with different models. I see one from time to time on the Bay.
We make up a large portion of the collectors out there, so someone has to have a super rare model right?

I'll gladly adopt that bastard child anyday! The 930 is very cool. As are the 915, and 909. Then there's the two differently styled 922s. .

Yes, more than one 922, one's with tweeters in the woofer grill and without.

I have also seen them with music search function, which I never new Lasonic ever used and with NO EQ

A 922 with no EQ? That's interesting. Never seen one.

The 918 and 922 are VERY under rated radio's and have respectable bass.
I really like the tweeter in grill look myself.

I need to do a full restoration on mine (the one you sent me) and then Bluetooth it.

It has it's own unique sound. Slightly different from the 935 and worlds different from the 975.

If Batman had a Blaster, this would be it!

Chris, I know the sound you are talking about. In all honesty we both know it sounds the worst out of the 3 big Lasonics (935/951/975). Maybe we will figure out why they are so flat sounding and collab on a mod to make it a contender again. I surely won't unload mine so the only option is to make it better

That's interesting you say "Flat" because that's truly what it is. The 935 is so bright and cheeri, the 975 is total brutality and the 951 is Mehh

Interestingly, the 951 was, up until recently, the only BLACK 8 inch speakered Lasonic ever made (to my knowledge). There are new i931's that have all blacked out speakers. I wonder if something was lost in the manufacturing process of the all Black 8 inch speakers for the 951?

Might be time t swap in some Lasonic White 8's and see what happens!
