Yeah, those were some fun times... :drunk:

I know everyone around the country got steamrolled by the hype, but those years, say, '86 to '91, before the hype, were a magical time when everything seemed possible.

I miss Andrew Wood. The music community here never really recovered after the dark side (heroin) crept in, they say.


But man, Pioneer Square on a Sat. nite, going from bar to bar with all the music...the bands, the atmosphere, the total disregard for the national media and record lables...it was as if this was a special place were those things didn't matter, hell, didn't even exist.

Still have my first copy of Temple of the Dog...remembering the day now that Cobain burned all the Madonna records on the air down at the college radio station...

Ahh, the good 'ol days...

Didn't mean to ramble. I know there were some scenes around the country that got buried under the hype. Can't blame us 'cause we were the ones still buying their records...love Crue, Poison etc. L.A. Guns though were my favs...
