Well today is 6 weeks I have not had a cigarette, my wife Linda is going on 2 months !! We are using a version of the electronic cigarette where you still get nicotine but none of the bad stuff.

The brand we are using is from Totallywicked,

Just wanted to share, I know I have not been on here for a lng time and I do like to pop in once in a while.

Take care TONY

Good job.

I was just diagnosed with bladder cancer last month and had surgury to remove the tumor. The #1 cause is you guessed it....smoking. Well, let me just say after the proceedures I've been through I ain't ever ever ever smoking again. Everything was done through my urethra YIKES not cool and severly painful. Just now getting back to normalish. Bad thing is they have to probe and test me every 3 months keep your fingers crossed.

Its amazing now a month later trying to stay away from second hand smoke how many people are out there puffing away. Scary.

Thanks all !

Since I have been using the E-cig I have not had any cravings at all for a regular cigarette. My breathing was really bad when laying in bed and now it is better no wheezing at all.

Congrats Tony (AND Linda!!!) we miss you guys and are happy for both of you!

Giving up smoking is hard work. My brother was able to kick heroin, crack etc but was never able to kick his pack a day tobacco habit. He's 38 now and has early stage emphysema.

You go boy!

I'm happy for you and Linda. These new ciggies are rewriting the rules check out the Fin commercial.

I just love what it says.

As to K2J been there with cancer mine was in the Colon. Glad to see you are doing fine. I see my oncologist once every six months. So far so good except I've notice a slight change in my urine. Very light traces of blood, with all the drugs I've done in my time you would think that would kill me.

I have never smoked, tried many times, wanted to look cool B) but it only made me .

Almost everyone I have ever played with in bands have smoked. One of the original guitar players for my old band Cessation Of Life told me one night how worried he was that smoking was going to kill him because no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't stop. He tried patches, gum, changing his diet, went to the doctors....nothing helped.

Then a few years after he had left the band and I hadn't seen or heard from him in a while he called and told me he finally quit and he said it was the hardest thing he'd ever done in his life! Mostly, he had to get away from people who were smoking. He said that helped a lot.

I feel for anyone who gets hooked on smoking. My brother quit for 10 years and last year started dating a girl who smokes and now he's back on it. Bum's me out.

It's the toughest thing you can do ...but stay the course Tony. Take it from me.....I quit 3 years ago and have never felt better!!!!
The last stray was when my youngest (8 at the time) asked me why I wanted to keep killing myself. That was enough for me to call it quits

Good luck to you and your wife Tony!

Congratulations! I stopped smoking 21 years back. It is very hard especially when you have some hard liquor. Mornings were very hard and especially when you are in the company of smokers. My wife wanted me to stop it soon after she was pregnant with my youngest son. I still drink but stopped smoking completely.

Stopped by today because someone asked me about a Aiwa 880 manual, thought I would say a few words, LOL

Coming up on 2 years not smoking, still using E-cig. Moved up with what I am using. Now using an E-vic control unit/battery with a Kanger Protank 2.

Doing pretty good here, sold my Sentra and Pathfinder and picked up a 93 Nissan Hardbody 2wd. Had knee surgery, it made a "poping" sound one day at work. Still hurts daily.

Still have my Aiwa boomboxes.

That is all.

Hey man, well done on the no smoking. It is inspiring to know your still not smoking 2 years later.

But is having the e-cig still harmfull? I really don't know.

I had my last roll up in January and then used an e-cig for about 3 weeks, and have now not had either for about 12 weeks.

I always considered myself a very light smoker, maybe 8-10 roll ups a day, but man, this is really really tough. I don't want to smoke all the time, daytimes not to bad, but most evenings I really feel like there is something missing.

Ive still got my e-cig in the draw and do think about using it from time to time.

Freddy I don't think Tony logs on to this site. I could be wrong but I have not seen a recent post from him. I really miss the guy since those famous meets that really started a culture all on it's own.

Miss the Pasta that his wife would do for us.
