That restored VZ2000 is mine... Thanks to everyone here that helped me locate the missing parts I needed to bring
that unit back to life. Parts came from literally around the world (England, Ireland, USA (California) and all of these sources
were found because of the members here!

It was fun working on one of those again.

I 've had it's cousin as part of my stereo setup for years an RP-117. Though not a portable, it is pretty cool. Sharp took the
linear turnable playing both sides one step further. The RP-117 lets you select the songs you want to play.
The cartridge has a sensor on the front that bounces a beam of light off the record and looks for the areas of no grooves
that reflect light. that determines where songs start.

Hello, my name is CARLINDOC, and I'm in Oaxaca City, Mexico ... is a small town and there is no collecting, but I was fascinated by dual cassette boomboxes collecting 80s, took a few years on this, I want to share the purchase of a SHARP VZ 2000 who purchases on EBAY and arrived from Japan in poor condition such as see in the photos, but I've been patching and composing the whole question of circuits, changing belts and engine, etc. .. publicly thank the partner BREDGEO ..... sent me a few sliders professionals from Ireland ... guauuuuu ..... and I leave the pictures to comment (sorry for the English but not speak it very well and only take the translator )....
