I think i`ve got some apologising to do..the Intersound has arrived..i know i paid for it 26th april,and i`ve had to wait along time,but the guy is genuine,and his packing is concrete...
and spud,,i actually think you will get your box also....
i beat the guy down and dragged his name through the dirt..i dont know how to put it right,so all i can say is sorry..and then hide for a while until i get over the embarrassment...
but i have to admitt,at the time,i did`nt know what the outcome was going to be,it could have gone in any direction..
but all is ok now...so i think i`ll put it behind me..
Oh all i gotta do now is fix the cassettes,both decks play at rapid speed,aparantly it is a very common problem on this box..but i need someone that has fixed one with the same fault..i would`nt mind,the layout is quite simple..
oh also,the power button does`nt seem to do anything,its like the stereo is powered up all the time..strange !!
i`m still happy as a pig in sh1t,its a beautiful radio,one of the nicest and most humongous i`ve ever seen,simular size to the jc2000 ?

hi the power staying on could be caused by the cassette decks being engaged all the time causing the power to stay on ,also if the unit has a high speed dubbing switch this sometimes lets more current pass thru it then is needed for play mode and it causes the decks to play fast this happens when the high speed dubbing switch goes bad it plays fast but also the high speed dubbing works as it should kinda wierd but thats what was wrong with mine .

Ahhh..both my decks run at unbelevable speed,,very very very fast,and when i press the hi speed dubbing button,they go even faster,also,if i press rewind or fforward,then press hi speed button,they are also effected..
The power button does`nt seem to do anything,but the decks are not engaged all the time,when i press stop on the decks,the motors disengage..
Floyd,i have some switch cleaner,shall i spray the dubbing switch and see what that does ???
Any other help would be much appeciated..more that you know...

does the power switch click when you press it to turn it on and off? just thinking if the power switch is stuck in the on position that might be the problem ,

hi floyd,yes the power button presses just normal but does`nt seem to do anything,also just noticed the alarm is`nt working either..i`ve checked the switches on the cassettes,they dissengage when i press stop,but the power light stays on all the time,i also sprayed the high speed dubbing switch with switch cleaning spray,nothings changed,both decks still speeding out of control..

most of those dual deck have a circuit that controls the speed and might have an adj pot on the board if not then most likely an open transistor

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. I paid for my box 2 months ago and despite contact from me and ebay I still have not heard anything for about a month now. And no box either.... so far. Now he is selling another box on S2G. Maybe that means he is finally back... I don't know.. and I wouldn't know either... he never tells me anything.

However my wife did sign for a package yesterday... but that could be anything from anywhere. I always have stuff coming in.

Spud..I do hope its your box..i`m hoping for you..Really ! i was the same as you,i`de all but given up,i did`nt think i would get it,and i was totally shocked and surprised when it arrived..
oh yeh i saw he`s selling the box on s2go,i did pm him about that but its a bit high for me..
i think you and i are definately off his christmas card list because of these deals..
shame,he does have some nice boxes,i would buy off him again aslong as i dont go through the same nightmare again,and if the prices are in my range,as i`m not rich so i cant always afford stuff like some peeps so i have to buy fixer uppers for cheaper..well its also to do with cant pay wont pay with me,some box prices are outragous..
Anyway,just hope that the package waiting for you is your new bbox..definately let us know spud..

Well it was not my box I was waiting for. It was an SCR-8 coming from Canada. Nice box, but it was supposed to include the original manual. Seller said he forgot about that and will send it off right away. Another 3 week wait for that I am sure. I sure am doing great lately...

I did get a PM on S2G today after I gave him crap about selling a box when he had not shipped mine yet. He said he was sorry... etc etc. and the same excuses as before. But he said it did ship and he would get me a tracking number tomorrow. We will see. Ebay processes my refund yesterday. And there is the same box I bought from him on ebay from a different seller ending tomorrow or the next day so I will be buying that one. If/when the box he shipped to me arrives I will deal with that then. I can always pay him again.
