I found a great match for the drivers on a JVC PC-5. I saw a pair of Panasonic SB PM10 bookshelf speakers for £25. So I took a chance.
The drivers from the JVC are 25watts and measure at 7ohms.
The Panasonics rate at 20watts and measure 8ohms. Not perfect, but the look is good.

A quick comparison for size shows they pretty much the same.

So close

Two slight modifications I had to make were:
1. The the black support ring around the edge was 1mm thicker on the panasonics. So I shaved it down to allow the grills to sit down flat.

2. I took 2mm off the edges of the chassis and put slots either side to allow the surround to locate.

Almost indistinguishable
