Soocar 10.1" portable Android powered Karaoke & Media player

Here's an interesting device I stumbled upon while browsing Alibaba. It's a battery powered, portable 10.1" touch screen Android Karaoke media player with 5.5" woofers and support for an internal hard drive up to 2TB. It also supports Bluetooth and third party apps through the google play store. I'm not sure if or how the speakers attach to the main unit though.

Interesting. It appears to be a one-piece unit to me. It's unfortunate that the shape is a triangular tube. I would prefer more of a square tube like a true box. The power switch is nice.

Now that you mention it, it does make more sense.

The thing looks well built and it's got decent size speakers with tweeters, it's got a lot going for it looks and functionality wise in my opinion.

At 650mm x 187mm x 198mm it's much larger than it appears at first glance, I can't imagine where music technology will be in 15-20yrs.

I was waiting on the Vizio smart box, but It turned out to be just another CES prototype that never materialized. This is the closest thing to it with even more capabilities. If you search around the site there are several other models for sale like this smaller Leadstar with a 7" screen.

Either way I can't really fault them for trying to make it a decent TV box nowadays.

It's an interesting concept, even Swan speakers has a high end AC only version for a whopping $999 with the MC-100.

Maybe this is the only one thing I liked in recent years ...
