Hey Guys,

One of these is for sale locally and I'm not sure whether I should get it...

It's an odd one, 3-band spectrum with analog tuner. Anyone had one? Better or worse than the FH7?

It's $75, but I had banned myself from buying more junk!

Not my link but this is what it looks like...

It might be missing the handle, how easy would it be to find a replacement?

Any help appreciated

Will

I had scored one for 20 bucks that's dropped a channel. Sounds decent considering the circumstances on mine...need to get it fixed but maybe a dry joint and requiring re-soldering. I would say that while they're not as nice as the newer FH7, it would sound better than the 2 way speaker FH7's as it's 3 way. The FH-33 is heavy like you'd expect too.

Edit: $75 for one all working would be a good deal even without the handle.

Looks great! I'd jump on it.Depends how much it is, of course and whether it's all 100% working.

If it's local I'd test it out, theres a chance the foams on the speakers are on the verge
of destruction if you're in the northern states too. Working on these things is a bit of a pain as
components are so pack in, especially the decks.

Your chance of scoring a handle on it's own are slim and none.
But that wouldn't stop me if I didn't have an FH already.

All these FH units sound great, there's not a bad sounding one in the entire line.

Good luck!

Yeah, speakers are no problem for me as I used to be a speaker tech, my old boss can get those square surrounds.

I might go back and see if they have the handle then.

Do you guys know if it runs on batteries?

I don't recall the FH-33 taking batteries, but I think it has a 15vDC input jack.

Most of the FH series don't take batteries, unless you score the DC power pack unit.

WELL worth $75 IMHO

Oh, it's $75! I missed that the first time through.
I'd be on it like goo on a Sharp capstan.

Not run on batteries (D batteries), but in that 15v DC input, you can plug a lead acid battery! :w00t:
About a handle, you can make one!

Cheers! Ui

Got it!
Sounds great and it's LOUD!

Not sure if it sounds better than a Telefunken 1M, but it's louder.

Good condition apart from a dent in the speaker. Even the tape works perfectly. Speakers have cloth surrounds not foam.

Scotty have you tried fiddling with the input select buttons?

One channel didn't work on mine either, and flicking these buttons a few times fixed it, might just need some contact cleaner.

Also if any of you have both the FH33 and FH7, I would appreciate it sooo much if you could measure both so I know whether the handles are interchangeable.
