Hello, I am a new subscriber and fan of sony hifi system fh 80s.
I possess for the moment a sony fh-150r with the player cdp-7f.

Member sony_apm_fan loves these type of boomboxes. For some reason they are not very common in US.

I love the LED display and the speakers. They sound awesome!

I have one of these too!! It's my daily user boombox...because it's the best sounding...even better than the M90. Not really an apples/apples comparison though.

Hi Scotty,
yes it is a very rare option that allows you to control any deck with a sony cd input "control s". I bought this kit on ebay in the USA. Kit name: RM-D1K. there are two elements: RM-88 unit of receptor RM-D10 remote control. kit never used. so it is new but the box is used. Year 1985

Hi friend fan of FH. The Sony FH-15R in 1985. The 150-R in 1986. the main differences.
the FH-150R, you must connect the speakers APM-177. Connections computer specific style. the FH-15R can connect any speakers as classic clips. tuner FH-15 SW is not that of the FH-150. cursors of the graphic equalizer are lit on the FH-150. they have no lighting on the FH-15. metal plate on black equalizer FH-15. plastic on the FH-150. THERE is no button on the amplifier loudness AMFB the FH-15.
These are the main differences.

The 150R would have a better bass response with the AMFB button. Sound wise i think that's about the only difference.

One additional question related to incompatibility of tuners and amp - are can deck from FH-15R be connected to FH150R? Even FH-11 has identically looking deck, so if I get in position to pick elements, and that is very likely, can I be peaceful about the way how deck is connected on amplifier on FH-11, FH-15R and FH-150R?

Now, all of you collectors will find this interesting - the guy who answered my ad for FH is an audiophile, and as such doesn't values or has the need for FH series, BUT, as he said himself "I've bought them to get the boxes". So, he has pile of FH systems, bought just to get speakers from them! Must be one of the strangest reasons why someone made a collection. Fortunately, he now owns hi-end HI-FI units, and obviously doesn't need the FHs anymore

BTW, if all FH-15R and FH-150R in his possession are preserved similarly, I'll go for FH-150R, and not because of the AMFB bass, or connectors, but because of LED lightning on equalizer
I'm serious, the quantity of LED just became a deciding factor

Hi , I have got the fh-15r And the fh-150r. Look at the post i put for my fh-15r. I put a a Led lightning equalizer from fh-150 r in the TA-158. I Will come Back Home sunday. I Will Try to connect deck And tuner from 15 to 150 And 150 to 15. I m looking. For brand new remot control for Fh15. And fh150. See you Later. Best regards
