my sony top of the line it had it all i think the date is around 87/88 with pop out draw and lodgic controlls and a cool 5 band spectrum analyzer and sounds grate with

i am betting that sony gets pretty good shortwave reception. i know my sonys with short wave all perform very well with this regard.
