Sony CFM-140II

Just got a nice Sony mono boombox-a CFM-140II for $3 at a garage sale today.

It's got a FM/MW/SW radio, tape and a 2 way speaker system.

It looks to be from the mid '90s.In the U.S.,it was impossible by then to get a boombox with SW that wasn't specifically designed for SW use. A 2-way design ? It's hard for me to believe a box that small and of that vintage had two actual drivers. Perhaps you could open her up and take a picture of the speakers. It should be really simple and quick to do.Simply lifting the back off would probably expose pretty much everything inside.

According to the service manual it has:
-a 3 inch (7.7cm) speaker
-a 7/8 inch (2cm) tweeter
