hey I've pick these up from back in the day (80s) I used to place my best mixs on them, I've kept one unopen

:agree: yeah I took the price tag off so my mum wouldnt flip :lol: think it was like $40 or somin like that for one tape..

Wish I could try one of these but I don't have the nerve to break open the only one I have which is still sealed.
How does this tape compare performance wise to other big names like the TDK's, it feels like a very solid well built tape.

That tape is a top drawer Metal. I made a recording on one using a Nakamichi Three Header nearly 20 years ago (my friend's deck - great sound).

One to cherish forever. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

These rank up there with the best tapes ever made. They are on par with the Maxell Vertex, TDK MA-R and MA-XG and Denon XG-M.

Sony also made a Sony Super Metal Master which was even more expensive and comes in an aluminum case.

I have a handfull of these which are not sealed, and I've compared them to the ones mentioned above (on tuned Naks) and they are indeed, VERY VERY good tapes!

Yeah I dont know if was just me as my friends couldn't justerfry paying that much, I could as these tapes were the bomb, I'm goin check the shop out to see my luck :))
