A little slow lately so I thought I'd share a box that I picked up recently. No one wanted it. Sold once, for like $4 but buyer didn't pay. So seller relisted it a second time for $2.99.
$ 2.99!
How could I refuse? OK, it was advertised as having a broken CD door which is sure to be a big nono. I risked a few bucks just in case it was fixable. If not, then at least I could part it out. The antenna has got to be worth $2.99, right?
Well, turns out I was able to fix the door with a prosthetic (read: screw peg). Everything works! It has a cassette but the CD is my thing. I really like CD's. The speakers are interesting but I like the look of the APM's and the mounts looks just like my other sony unit which I'm thinking of parting out. So, I was thinking of replacing the speakers on this guy with the APM speakers from that CFS-9000 -- whatcha think?

Those vertical CD players remind me of the B&O systems snooty people get. But it blends in nicely on the Sony like a second cassette deck.
