After a few months in the closet, I wanted to hear the 9292 .
discoveries that led vu was not working right,so I decided to open it and try to solve, as well as the problem we had was not working with AC power.
after treatment with clean switch contacts in the selector light / signal, the VU returned to work properly.

the next step to try to discover it does not work with AC,I went on the road easier, check the fuse, and discovered that was burned.
buy a new fuse 250V / 1.25 amps, and all right.

notice a slight difference in volume between a channel and the other, so use another clean contacts, which fix the difference in volume, but to my surprise vu stopped working again, suspected that excess contact cleaner way to the back of the circuit, moistening and making some poor contact.
So I put a small heater in the position of cold air, blowing air into the bottom of the circuit, and with that the vu returned to work.

so hopefully I could solve the problems easily.
happy with the results, :-)
