Hello People

Well I bought this tiny Sanyo M S400L last summer!
It was sold as 'Fully Working'

I should know better by now!!

No response from the tone, balance or speaker orientation controls & very poor tape stability

I thought it was time to restore & repair & hoped it was similarly designed to the M7735L it's bigger brother!!
I needn't have worried - superb modular design, case screws out the 2 more inside & the whole inside comes out as one with easy access to everything

Belts were fine, it was the capstan & pinch roller & heads that were really contaminated along with every single switch & pot!!

Generous dose of Servisol on every moving contact especially the rec/play switch which was causing a horrid howling sound when pressing any tape deck key, then an intense pinch roller/capstan clean which took over an hour to get to a clean state that I was happy with

Results?? Well another huge surprise.................Not only does every function work as it should, this tiny stereo does very well at keeping up with it's bigger brother

What a result & 2 hours well spent today!! I had to do something as I have been feeling very low & unwell for a couple of weeks

This bloody stroke & brain damage malarkey is so cruel at times & I needed to do something to make me feel better

It certainly reminded me that I can still do something that makes me happy

& it's Dj Dado again - My favourite 'Dream Dance' style track from the fantastic 1990's
