slide control lube!!

My new find a 3D7 has very stiff graphic/volume control slidders!!They were jammed so i put switch cleaner on now they move but very jammy!! would WD40 be ok??

On any sliders/controls/knobs I wouldn't use WD40. Best thing to use is contact cleaner. It has the right stuff in it to properly displace the muck.

If you are in the UK, Maplin's sell it.

I'm in the uk but thats what i used but they are still very jerky!!! how can i smooth them out Docs??

Disassemble them and clean them out good. Then apply a thin layer of silicone (or other lube) grease over the top and side slide surfaces. Do not coat the resistor board. This'll make them slide like new. WD-40 is a thin solvent, not a lube so any benefit will be short lived. In fact, WD-40, along with contact cleaner will strip the original grease.
