Nice box, I used to drool over an AKA in the early 80's that was sold on the West Coast as a Montgomery Wards box.

I have the Wards version (Airline 3996) and I love mine. Very hard hitting bass and clean highs, also excellent stereo separation on the "wide" setting. I had Norm install a real aux plug on the side for mp3 play because the line input on this one only works for recording input....also love the unique look of this boombox.

The only i dislike on it: the VU´s are not working to the radio, only tape.

I love the way the peak VU holds and fades. This model was my first boombox and I love it.
