SILVA - unequal twins

Ok, not really oldskool units, but nice daily boomers

Daniel and me got a time ago a SILVA unit, with crazy discription "triple equalizer" on top.
Something was sure: there must be a better unit with CD on this place

And this weekend we found it on the flea

So let´s start a little comparo of this equal looking, but very different boxes

First look, very similar

the cheaper unit is looking better

the better unit is looking cheaper

no doubt: here should sit a CD player

and here it is...

more beautiful front at the cheapy

no idea why they did a downgrade at the better version

the CD less unit owns CD in

and clear: the other one CD out

WTF is a "high power autoreverse"?!?

the CD unit

multifunctional clock and right deck autoreverse!! (high power)

Okydoky, if you had the choice to pick up only one of them, what would you get? :sin:

Like the cassette version better but I like the better looking woofers in the CD player version. Swap out the woofers and ya got a hot box!

Absoloutely!

I'd go one step further and see if you can replace more of the front of the case of the cheapy onto the CD/Tape one.

Very interesting to see the differences in the two models, Roman!

Time for some hot cannibalising!!
