I finally got an 8 track player , a Worldstar MC-1 . I'd like to see some of yours! Reli what year is this thing from?

Never owned one, boomer or stand alone. Looks like a nightmare to replace belts and clean.

Never had to change an 8 tracks belt yet.. But your probably right lol.

I recently bought a stand alone with an 8 track, from a thrifty store. What amazed me is that they spent time to assure me that the 8 track worked perfectly, and even gave me a spare 8 track to test it.

Take away: 1970s build quality is so amazing that it can last 50+ years, and the public assumes it should all still work.

I’ve only got one...a funky orange small thing. Was a doddle to service though. Not sure where it is lol
