Can you combine it with excuse for trip elsewhere nearby the item - make a day of it and get a boombox for $5 into the bargain - hopefully they will agree to wait for a day in future where it benefits you

I'd probably work out some excuse to combine with another trip if they can wait as I'm a sucker for a bargain such as this

It is kind of cool looking. $5.00 plus another $10 or so in gas...... Ask yourself if you'd buy it at a thrift shop for $15. If so go grab it.

Can only recommend the box. It sounds very good for a Philips box. It's one of their first cd boxes, so a piece of history. The cd display is backlit, kind of cool. And it played in a movie, so it's also some sort of a grail

A vertical CD player is no joke plus 4 speakers.
I would have brought it home and posted it for fun.
After all it is only gas money.
A good cleaning will make it worth a lot!
